Josh and Lauren had what you could call a typical wedding day. Some stuff went their way, some stuff didn’t. Rain would have put a DAMPer (you see that? Oh man!) on the wedding day, but instead we were blessed with simply cloudy skies and a touch of mist here and there. That’s so nice because, not only do we not have to ONLY shoot indoors, the clouds also allow us to shoot anywhere without having to worry about sun angles and overly harsh light from different directions. Usually I’m a big fan of the sun, but given the dismal forecast and then being able to take advantage of all angles at our Krug Park photo location, the clouds were A-Okay with me. The wedding ceremony was in St. Joseph at Grace Evangelical Church and we did most of the day’s photos at the aforementioned Krug Park with the wedding party beforehand. It’s a really nice area that allows you to get a lot of great pictures in a really small area, so it’s definitely wedding schedule friendly! After the ceremony (and a killer bubble exit photo, by the way) we began the journey down to Kansas City and the River Market Event Place. Well, the wedding party’s journey in their SUV limo was a little longer than most because they got a flat tire on the way down! Thanks to Josh’s pit crew . . . I mean groomsmen, they had a new tire on and were back on the road again within 10-15 minutes. Don’t look at me for help if that ever happens again. Goodness, I’m helpless. In the end though, I think Josh and Lauren would tell you that their day was anything but typical. Probably more like perfect and fantastic with a couple of very memorable moments. Guys, thank you so much for having us along on your wedding day!
