Remember when it was actually fall? And it didn’t feel like January in the middle of November? That’s when Daniel and Katie were married on an unseasonably warm October day. Unseasonably warm was like 75 degrees and sunny. So one might also call that perfect. They had both the wedding ceremony and reception at Terrace on Grand, just south of downtown Kansas City. It’s a venue that we have shot at several times, and I find myself liking it more and more each time we visit. Emad is a wonderfully hospitable and helpful host there, and every couple has said the same. He truly goes above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of and that you’re enjoying yourself. Let’s be honest though, this venue is not about Emad (sorry Emad). It’s about the ridiculous rooftop view that looks right over downtown Kansas City. We spent a lot of time up there and really took advantage of the space, doing photos for the bride and groom’s first look up there, and then more photos again at sunset. I think they look awesome! We also got some variety as there are several interesting spots just right outside the doors on the street. The highlight of the night for almost all involved, was witnessing Daniel’s absolutely lethal dance moves paired with DJ Snake & Lil’ Jon’s “Turn Down For What”. I’m pretty sure I had Daniel and Katie in tears of laughter when we reviewed the photos together last night. Thanks for having us as a part of your wedding day, guys! And thank you for giving us a chance to witness the most epic display of dance moves ever conceived.
