Ryan and Cheryl’s wedding was a true Christian wedding celebration and it was a treat to get to know them and to document such a momentous time in their life story. Kayla was on board with me again for this wedding as Kara took care of our new baby boy, Grayson Lee, who was born just a couple weeks before. Weather-wise (I always have to comment and give context as to the weather, apparently), it was a pretty nice day to start and then the clouds rolled in. Along with the clouds came a nasty north wind. With the nasty north wind came a 15-20 degree drop in temperature! And with a 15-20 degree drop in temperature came . . . three inches of snow! We froze a little as we hopped in and out of stores and offices on the Liberty square. Man, much worse than the temperature drop though, was that strong wind—I can still feel it now! Ryan and Cheryl, thanks for being such troopers to brave the elements as much as we did for those natural light photos. After we had photos on the square wrapped up, the ceremony was at the couples’ home church—Liberty United Methodist Church. And that’s when the snow started. Afterward, we made our way downtown through the snow to the Berg Event Space for the reception; truly one of my favorite venues in Kansas City. Again, it was just a beautiful celebratory day, and Ryan and Cheryl, we appreciate you guys having us as a part of it! Cheryl’s makeup was done by the always fabulous Mandy McKenna.
